Objectives for RN Leadership StudentsThrough the Simulation Experience, the RN student will:
• Demonstrate principles of the teaching learning process for an adult learner • Participate as an effective team member in formulating criteria and a plan to evaluate a group of learners • Demonstrate appropriate application of verbal and written communication skills when interacting with learners, classmates, faculty and staff • Apply knowledge of the evaluative and coaching process to a specific learner • Submit an insightful written critique of personal strengths and challenges in assuming the role of nurse supervisor and coach in simulation experience • Identify specific, realistic plan for professional growth in role of nurse supervisor and teacher |
Objectives for MA StudentsThrough the Simulation Experience, the MA student will:
• Demonstrate proficiency in selected clinical, laboratory, and communication skills. • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations. • Maintain professional communication with patient and RN throughout simulation. • Properly perform injections, vision acuity, ECG, patient history, glucose, and spirometry. • Ability to adapt and adjust to new surrounding while taking direction from the RN students. • Participate as an effective team member in accepting and understand feedback/critiquing from RN students |
